NXP
4 parts were added this month at NXP in the LPC54 family with new packages including TFBGA100, (ET100 suffix) and LQFP100 (BD100 suffix).
At the lower end, NXP just launched the LPC80x with a 15MHz Cortex-M0+ core. LPC80x is Cortex®-M0+ MCU family operating at 15 MHz. It supports 16/32 and 2/4 kB of Flash/RAM. Peripherals include a CRC engine, I2C-bus interfaces, up to two USARTs, one SPI interface, capacitive touch interface (cap touch), one multi-rate timer, self-wake-up timer, one general purpose 32-bit counter/timer, one 12-bit ADC, one 10-bit DAC, one analog comparator, function-configurable I/O ports through a switch matrix, an input pattern match engine, and a programmable logic unit (PLU).
Prices start at $0.60/100u.
Renesas
Renesas had no significant changes this month.
SiliconLabs
SiLabs added a QFN 48 package to the EFR32BG/FG/MG wireless families with 512/1024 kB of Flash. There was also a 125 BGA for the EFR32MG12P433F1024IL125.
Spansion/Cypress
Cypress released 23 new products in the PSoC4 family. The 24/48MHz, Cortex-M0+ PSoC 4100S (19 new parts) family combines a capacitive touch-sensing system (CapSense), 1.71 to 5.5V operation and LCD support.
ST Microelectronics
STM32 had 7 new parts, mostly tape & reel extensions and a few 125C parts while The STM8 got one new part, the STM8L050J3M3.
Texas Instruments
There were a few new parts in the MSP430FR24/25/60 lines.
Pearls of MCU
We are checking this month on the last pearls of MCU and must apologize to Nuvoton. The winner last month was actually Cypress as you all have see per the screenshot below.
Nuvoton spooky parts
Last time we checked (1/30) the ghost part is still there.
We are checking with ST on their -80C part and we will update you when we have answers.
